(Text on reverse: WHITE IBIS FLYING IN THE SWAMP -- Ibis tend to move in flocks in southern swamps. They can e found in a place where crawfish are plentiful, feasting so intensely that they are hardly aware of humans watching them. When the crawfish are well devoured, the entire flock will move on to antoher area in the swamp.)
Hi Mom!
Saw lots of these birds while we were driving through Louisiana. Stayed last night in Alexandria. A nice city, but they didn't have any fireworks for the 4th. Found a nice Church for Mass this morning -- St. Frances Cabrini. Drove through Baton Rouge...no big deal. Heading now for New Orleans. Not much excitement these last couple days. Mark wants to pay $8 to wrestle a crocodile. The way he's been teasing his sisters, we're tempted.
Hope you're feeling better.
Love,
ME
