(Text on reverse: CYPRESS AND SPANISH MOSS -- Cypress trees thrive in southern swamplands, their swollen bases anchored firmly, deep in the wetlands. Spanish moss festoons the branches, half hiding the feathery yellow green spring leaves that the tree is putting forth. The moss is an epiphyte, not a parasite, deriving its moisture and nutrients from the air and from particles that lodge in the tree bark.)

Hi Mom!
We're in lovely Tuscaloosa, ALA. It's starting to feel like a vacation. Kaz isn't setting the alarm for 6:00am so we can sightsee. The girls can swim in the pool in the morning and take showers before we leave and we even arrive at motels early enough so they can swim in the evening. It's plenty hot -- even at night. It's gives the kids a chance to work out the energy they can't use in the car. We'll see you soon.
Love,
ME
